| | | | | Unsung Rock Port FairyFriday, March 14, 2008Four part harmony outfit Unsung have just returned from a great festival down at Port Fairy. With four gigs over three days, a little busking and plenty of festivity and amber fluid in the geen room, as well as the opportunity to catch some great live acts, it was a wonderful weekend. The highlight was a great set at the Surf Club on the Sunday night to a packed room to finish the festival. The lowlight was the 5 and half hour drive home in 40 degree heat.... But hey, well worth it. Best acts for me were Loudon Wainwright and the Duhks, a smoking cajun rock band from Canada. A killer weekend. | | | | | Wake Up The Dead hits the airwaves on RRRFriday, March 14, 2008A couple of songs from the new album have been featured on The Australian Mood on Triple R FM in Melbourne in the last couple of weeks. Neil Rogers, a heroic and long term supporter of new Australian music, gave a spin to the title track Wake Up The Dead and the Right Side of the Road in the fortnight leading up to the official launch on Sunday 16th March at 303 in Northcote. Many thanks to Neil for the airplay and hopefully you might hear some more of the album if you tune in to RRR over the coming weeks. | |
